Pierre Bourque was born on October 7, 1958 in Canada's Capital City - Ottawa. He started racing in 1978 and spent the next 12 or so years racing in formula cars on various road courses. He then left racing for a short time beginning in 1990 when he entered the world of politics. After a while, he made his return to the racing scene and has since branched out into the world of stock car auto racing.

He's raced in series' such as the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, the NASCAR Busch Series, and the NASCAR Busch East Series. Also staying close to his road-racing roots, he's contended in the Grand-Am Rolex Series and plans to do more of the same in the future.

Pierre Bourque currently lives in Ottawa, with his wife Kristine and two children Andre and Emilie. When he's not at the track, Bourque runs the Bourque Newswatch, found at bourque.org that digs into the world of Canadian politics. He is also an accomplished painter and writer.
