Diego Alessi starts the Rolex Series race in 5th and drives to 3rd before the first turn. The Matt Connolly Motorsports #21 Pontiac GTO.R has the torque to pass the #30 mazda and the #87 porsche before turn 1 to sneak into 3rd going up the esses. Diego would go on to lead the race before the first pit stop.
GTO.R driver Diego Alessi leads the race at Homestead-Miami Speedway on March 29 2008. He has the lead but has to deal with Daytona Prototype traffic as well as a left side brake duct that has been detached due to contact.

Den Ostermontag wird sich die Familie Stuck zukünftig sicherlich rot im Kalender markieren. In der Motorsport Arena Oschersleben gewannen Johannes (24) und Ferdinand Stuck (19, beide Österreich), die Söhne von Rennsportlegende Hans-Joachim Stuck, im Reiter-Lamborghini Gallardo erstmals gemeinsam ein Autorennen. Das Bruderduo setzte sich in einem turbulenten Rennen gegen den ABT-Audi R8 von Christer Jöns (23, Ingelheim) und Jens Klingmann (21, Leimen) durch. Dritte wurden die Sieger des Laufes vom Ostersonntag, Alexandros Margaritis (26, Griechenland) und Dino Lunardi (32, Frankreich) im LIQUI MOLY Team Engstler-BMW Alpina B6. Die Lamborghini Gallardo aus dem Team von Hans Reiter gaben im Rennen am Montag den Ton an. In der Startphase führte der trainingschnellste Lamborghini von Frank Kechele (24) das Feld an. Als der Ulmer nach acht Runden mit technischem Defekt ausrollte, übernahm der Gallardo des amtierenden Meisters Peter Kox (47, Niederlande) das Kommando. Doch kurz nach dem Fahrerwechsel auf Teamkollege Marc A. Hayek (40, Schweiz) musste das Lamborghini-Duo die Podiumshoffnungen begraben, als Hayek nach einem Reifenschaden die Box ansteuern musste. Ferdinand Stuck übernahm in einem dritten Reiter-Lamborghini die Führung, zuvor hatte sein älterer Bruder Johannes sich bereits auf die zweite Position nach vorn gekämpft und damit die Weichen für den Sieg gestellt. Ryan Phinny in the Matt Connolly Motorsports "Blackjack" GTO.R leads the race at New Jersey Motorsports Park in the Grand American Rolex Series GT class. At the Rolex Series Brumos Porsche 250 at Daytona International Speedway. The Matt Connolly Motorsports #21 Pontiac GTO.R with Ryan Phinny at the wheel blows a tire with under a mile before entering the pits. We had wanted to come in 2 laps earlier but were kept out the first lap and stayed out as a favor the second lap. This blow out caused a caution due to debris. We miss our chance to catch up to the lead lap and ended up losing almost a lap and a half. Diego Alessi would battle back to 7th place. For more information visit: www.mcmracingteam.com
Ryan Phinny is interviewed after getting out of the Matt Connolly Motorsports #21 Pontiac GTO.R in 1st place. He led 30 laps of the race. Diego Alessi would finish in 3rd. Ryan Phinny is an up and coming star in sports car racing and the Grand American Road Racing Association Rolex Series. He is 18 years old and out of Carmel, CA.
Driver Change, 4 tires and Fuel: Diego Alessi jumps in for Ryan Phinny behind the wheel. Matt Connolly serves as the driver change assistant. Rob McCabe jumps over the wall plugs in the air jack wand, loosens the 5 lugs on the left front then replaces the left rear wheel. Taylor Burnes replaces the right front wheel then goes to finish the job on the left front. JB Walker replaces the right rear wheel. Jeff Melchiorre fuels the car and Alex Bost is the fire bottle. Diego Alessi in the #21 MCM Pontiac GTO.R holds off Andy Lally in a TRG Porsche GT3 during the final 2 minutes to finish 3rd in the 2008 Emco Gears 250 at Mid Ohio. Alessi had on full wets and Lally was on slicks and 4 seconds a lap quicker than the whole GT field. A caution came out right after the video ends and ends the race.

At the San Diego Wild Animal Park. The cheetah made two runs for us that afternoon. The trainers provide a favorite toy (each cat has their own favorite), that they draw across a long grass strip at high speed. The cheetah chases it--not really as prey, but for fun.
MCM and the #21 GTO.R had a good race until this point. Romeo would later say that his brake marker had been knocked away and by the time he realized it he was too far down the track. We were waiting for the next yellow to bring Romeo in and put Ryan Phinny out till the checker, unfortunately we became the reason for the yellow.
