Rehagen Racing and Georgian Bay Motorsports Win at VIR
The Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series spent the weekend at VIRginia International Raceway, which wrapped up with two split class races.
Saturday’s race saw the ST class take to the track for their final race of the season. Lawson Aschenbach, Ken Dobson, and Jamie Holtom of Georgian Bay Motorsports took the win in their Chevrolet Cobalt SS. Close behind was the Compass360 Racing entry driven by Adam Burrows and Trevor Hopwood. Finishing in third place was the sister car to the winning entry – the Georgian Bay Motorsports machine driven by Lawson Aschenbach, Eric Curran, and Jamie Holtom.
On Sunday it was time for the GS class to hit the track for their final race of 2008. Finishing in the top two positions were the Ford Mustangs of Rehagen Racing. The first one driven by Mike Canney, Hugh Plumb, and Matt Plumb, and the second one piloted by Dean Martin, Ryan Phinny, and Jack Roush Jr.
